Meet Melissa, Owner of Pure Hair
Hello gorgeous. I’m grateful you are here to meet me and learn how we can work together to make your hair your best asset, while making your salon experience tailored to your specific needs. First, a little about me.
I’ve been in the hair industry for 25 years, today mastering my skills as a West Seattle hairstylist and salon owner. My experience includes working as an educator for 3 different international brands, and platform stage artist while working behind the chair in salons. I have shared my knowledge and passion for hair by teaching other stylists hair color, cutting and styling techniques developed by my team. Working in Seattle, Jackson Hole Wyoming and Melbourne Australia. Among my accomplishments are, being published in fashion magazines and winning awards for looks created in both haircutting and styling updos. These experiences have fueled my creativity and love of being up to date on the latest trends, techniques and industry developments.

As the owner of Pure Hair since 2008, I have built a reputation as a skilled stylist who specializes in curls, precision haircuts and customized colors. All while valuing being an active member of our West Seattle community. My passion is to connect with clients, tailoring their individual hair needs to suit their lifestyle, personality, and maintenance level. Offering a relaxing space for us to create and connect. At Pure Hair we partner with Kevin Murphy, Davines and Green Circle Salons. These brands give us the tools to create the highest level of service while making our impact on the planet minimal.
Raised in a small business environment, I have a deep appreciation for entrepreneurship and creating community. When not working behind the chair at my salon, I enjoy spending time with my family outdoors, staying fit and healthy, traveling the world and finding ways to make life fun and creative. Throughout my career, I’ve traveled extensively but have now settled in our West Seattle community to raise my family. I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve my clients and share my love of hair and life with others. Thank you for choosing us as your hair home.

We require a 24 hour notification on all cancelled appointments. If you are unable to keep a scheduled appointment, please give us 24 hours notice to ensure that you will not be charged for the appointment. If less than 24 hours notice is given, and we are unable to fill your time slot, you will be expected to pay for the service in full. Appointments may be cancelled online, or by calling or emailing Pure Hair at least 24 hours in advance. There are no exceptions for no shows. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in regard to our cancellation policy.
